I'm gonna basically quote a comment I made about Lizzo:

"The biggest example of her brand playing a role in this is how Doja Cat is being perceived. Paint the Town Red is getting A LOT of attention and the song was only released like a week after her bashing her own fans. What we also know is that Doja Cat never really branded herself as a person that is always upbeat and polite (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). Sure she has funny moments and likes to do memey stuff, but like Cardi and Nicki she isn't afraid to take on controversy at all. Compare this to Lizzo whose brand was all about positivity. She is at risk of losing everything because her alleged bad behavior goes against everything that she preached."

I think the reason why Lizzo is on the verge of losing everything while Doja isn't is because of brand. Doja being mean like this is lowkey starting to look like a bizarre brand move for her. I know this may sound like a weird way of putting it, but like I said just like Nicki and Cardi she has a brand of not being afraid to get into drama. Obviously, it still sucks that she can resort to rude behavior and get away with it.
