She never called anyone fat.
She told her dancer that she was worried about her, and asked why she seems less vivacious than prior to the tour. this dancer believes that nothing had changed except that she has gained weight so in her opinion Lizzo fat shamed her.

Frankly, the mess with the assistant made both of them (Gaga and the assistant) look terrible but the press hated Gaga at time so....tbh I always thought a big part of the problem with that situation is both of them were probably on drugs and we now know Gaga was struggling with her mental health, too. Gaga also acted wild in the courtroom according to court reporting....

I have a freakishly good memory for weird facts lol, so I recall the details. The assistant didn't work more than 40 hours a week, but allegedly worked crazy hours that weren't in her contract and therefore qualified for overtime. For example, something like 3 days for 13+ hours....which is kind of insane even if it fits in the 40 hour a week frame.

Gaga definitely owed her the money and was in the wrong, but it wasn't quite as bad as the press spun it (the press spun it like Gaga was making her work 40+ hours a week and was refusing to pay her). I remember some reporters saying Gaga's attorney was dumb and should just settle. But Gaga was allegedly angry as the assistant stole from her, and the assistant would complain that doing normal assistant stuff like heating up food was "slave labor." The assistant was also white, so that's pretty cringe. Gaga also said something like "sure, you are my slave" sarcastically while in court which uh...didn't go over well as a lot of the press left out that a) the assistant first made the comparison and b) the assistant was white. Because if people were unaware of those facts, that sarcastic quip came across as racist.

If I remember right it wasn’t a sexual assault claim, but an abuse of employee/employer relationship claim. This part reminds me of parts of the Lizzo suit ONLY because it seems like these big singers have a difficult time separating friends/personal relationships from their professional relationships, and I’m a little sympathetic to this because who else can they be friends with.

Not saying it’s okay whatsoever, but it’s quite common to see singers befriend their employees (dancers, makeup artists, assistants, etc.) and neglect the fact that they are in a monetary relationship with these people, and hold a certain amount of responsibility as their employer.
