It's really easy for right-wingers to get their little jokey-oke songs to #1 because they only like 2 genres of music, country and classic rock :flop:

God created Adam and Eve, but Gọdga collabed with Brian🎺 and Steve🎷

according to Billboard :

he sings in the song’s opening lines. A video, posted by radiowv, shows Anthony offering an acoustic performance, funneling the pain, frustration and angst of the working class into lines that rage against greedy rich men. The song takes on high taxes, abuse of welfare, and selfish politicians, with lyrics that have resonated mightily with music listeners. Elsewhere, he sings, “Lord, we got folks in the street, ain’t got nothing to eat and the obese milking welfare/ Well God, if you’re 5-foot-3 and you’re 300 pounds/ Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds.”

Who gonna tell him? :oprah:

Without welfare there would be way more "folks in the street with nothing to eat"...

Broke folks are also more often obese cause cheap food is often not the healthiest one.

PS : Checked the whole song and ofc he doesn't address tax evasion & optimization that costs largely more than broke folks allowances do. :saladga:

Oh this song is so trash… in one line he’s weeping for those who are hungry and then pushing the myth of fat welfare queens… WILDDD
