The way this song completely devolves into the Reaganite era welfare queen bs is such a shame

this rise in country music and its connection to the alt right is majorly concerning!

I'm going to need the universe to stop giving mediocre men with trash views big platforms in the entertainment industry. :madge:

Is this actually an organic hit or does he have massive conservative money backing him? This song literally came out of nowhere. Very suspicious

OMG What is happening to Billboard this year :patrizia:

Is country new POP now?

What’s next: Morgan Wallen - album of the year at Grammys? 🥲

I don't even know who this asshole is.

Nobody knew who he was up until a few days ago.  He was a poor factory worker who performed to very small audiences and didn't really have any following at all.

This guy at work (who I have a crush on btw:toofunny:) was talking non stop about this singer. Actually, most of the white guys where I work at were and disscussing country music. Should I use Joanne to seduce them into liking Gaga (and me:hor:)? Give me tips huntys!!! I know the lot of them are reps (very obvious) but most of them are cute!

Why yall hate him ? I never heard of that guy before

Read the conversation. He is apparently MAGA conservative country singing boy, and this song is disgusting as per-usual with red neck country songs, so that's that

That's a real question I have: Do country folks respect Joanne era or do they pay it dust?

according to Billboard :

he sings in the song’s opening lines. A video, posted by radiowv, shows Anthony offering an acoustic performance, funneling the pain, frustration and angst of the working class into lines that rage against greedy rich men. The song takes on high taxes, abuse of welfare, and selfish politicians, with lyrics that have resonated mightily with music listeners. Elsewhere, he sings, “Lord, we got folks in the street, ain’t got nothing to eat and the obese milking welfare/ Well God, if you’re 5-foot-3 and you’re 300 pounds/ Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds.”

I can't stand idiots like this. He was 🤏 this close to getting it.

Complaining about rich men. Yes. Good. That's where the problems are.

Then he immediately cannibalizes the working class.

A 300lb, fudge round eating, welfare using unemployed person STILL contributes more to society than any rich person.

You know, Massachusetts passed a law that raised income taxes by 4% on every penny earned above $1 million. It generated about $1 billion in revenue for the state which they then split and sent half to fix crumbling roads and the other half went to paying for breakfast and lunch in public schools.

Write a song about that, loser.

Girl if they're Republican then it doesn't matter how pretty they are on the outside. Their inside is nothing but garbage.

That's one of the biggest red flags these days, please :messga:

A LITERAL red flag :messga:
