Unrelated but her choice of teeth lately is interesting

I will hear her out and listen objectively regardless of my current opinions of her...

Okay wow she surprised me. I actually really agree with this side of the conversation. I truly think it's so important that we remember to value humanity and create low-tech environments in an increasingly high-tech world. That distinction is something I believe is extremely important and the key to us not losing ourselves along the way (picture a darker version of Wall-e).

Alright Grimes. You have me with this one. I'm glad to hear her talking some actual sense and actually valuing what it means to be human outside of technology.

And side note: as much as I talk sh.it about AI and how dangerous I think it could potentially be, I do really believe in the positive applications too. My great-aunty has actually been developing AI technology for the past 6 or 7 years. Her and her husband have been throwing everything they have into it, living under the poverty line to do so because they believe in it so strongly. Her team has recently been meeting with the leaders of Indonesia, and she's currently in Singapore trying to secure a multi-million dollar deal with some higher-ups to fund and complete their technology and eventually roll it out. Their AI aims to help humanity with applications like education and developing underdeveloped countries and I really believe in what they've created. So yeah, there is still hope. As much as I am always concerned that we (as usual) will f.uck things up and create an even more dystopian world

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

"People will be fueled by hate for AI, so AI is great. And you can create spaces to avoid it, which makes it even better 😁"

And what makes anyone think that industries will allow adequate "low tech zones" to exist when they can cut corners with it to save money?

It is not realistic in a capitalist society, it is not healthy, and it is not safe.

For someone who talks about AI so much she really needs to do more research. AI is an amazing tool for people to use and has been around much longer then the recent trend, Nobodies saying we should abandon all AI capabilities.

She's right on the last sentence, It's up to people on how we want it to exist. However, She's shown she's on the wrong side of this debate. The kind she loves to promote, Generative AI like image generation is extremely bad and a perfect example of one that needs regulations asap.

There was a senate Judiciary committee on this and professional Artist Karla Ortiz put it perfectly.

According to her logic, AI can inspire us to enhance our knowledge and skills and work on creative ways to become the all-mighty destroyers of human race ourselves :vegas:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
