Economy 52,848
https://watcher.guru/news/russia-makes-huge-announcement-on-brics-currency Never one to hold back from telling it like it is, Central Bank of Russia Chairwoman Elvira Nebullina gave her hard opinion on the new BRICs currency whose purpose is to dethrone the US Dollar as the reserve currency Despite Russia's and Putin's obvious enthusiasm as well as Chinas at the idea of a non-adversarial currency as the new world reserve currency, Nabullina poured cold water suggesting the enthusiasm needs a reality check She believes it will be more difficult to implement and workout in the near term than is being perceived by leaders including logistics, a processing system, agreement on all the rules, consent from all parties etc Elvira Nabullina has on multiple occasions spoken out contrary to Putin's words to the media reporters and on live television including making monetary policy decisions the exact opposite of what Putin Promoted, and making negative economic forecasts when Putin was trying to downplay economic risks
Economy 52,848
I feel like one of these days shes gonna be found dead. I don't know how she keeps contradicting Putin and so far nothing happened to her Unless that's part of the Game. Putin wants someone high up in Politics that does contrary to what he wants so that if Russia totally crumbles he has a scape goat to blame

It's weird because she supposedly tried to resign but Putin forced her to stay. But on the other hand, they have been close for a long time and she does have supposed involvement into helping prepare for the war.

But on the other hand, they have been close for a long time and she does have supposed involvement into helping prepare for the war. Reports say she was caught off guard and blind sided by the war tho they are rumours with no proof. But supposibly besides potentially not agreeing with the war, she worked hard for so many years as the minister of economy and direct advisor to Putin over 20 years ago and in more recent years as the head of the Central Bank and helped transform Russia's economy into a more vibrant and productive economy post Soviet Era (productive relative to before maybe not compared to 1st World Nations) And now the war ruined all the her work. Probably why she wore funeral black on the first conference after the war started (she's known for sending messages with her clothing) and tried to resign but Putin reportedly refused to accept her resignation #1 it would probably send a public message she did not agree with the war if she resigned. And because she's so well known, everyone would know about it in Russia #2 she's seen as highly competent by both people and business leaders alike, a rare politician that is liked by different political sides. During the war you need cohesion and optimism so Putin probably feels he needs her #3 this is my theory l, but because she's so well known for so long and is so high up, having someone low-key defy you or contradict you could be beneficial to Putin, as if Russia totally goes to sh*t he can lay the blame on her. He probably sees more value in leaving stuff as they are than to try to remove her.
