The guy was incorrect about saying Paris is ghetto- and you’re doing the exact same thing as him, saying America is dirty and litter infested. You both sound ignorant as hell. 

America outside of major cities is almost a little too sterile, and even some of the major American cities are overly clean compared to other countries.

They way some of y'all taking this very personally 

Just see this as a good thing now that people might learn not to see Paris with their rose colored glasses anymore, and just do to the nice places like museums and restaurants like a normal people.

I honestly felt the same way when I was in Paris last month. Having come from Berlin just before, I was amazed by how much cleaner and safer Berlin felt.

I love Berlin but let's not pretend there's no poverty and dirt everywhere in the city  I do feel a lot safer there though!

Well… I’m a French guy living in Paris, so how can I not take this personally?  I’m pretty sure that if people from a certain ethnicity heard these sorts of comments about their identity, no one would roll their eyes at them taking things personally.

I went to Paris in 1980, aged 26, and loved it. The food! The Hotel George V! Champagne at the Lido and Crazy Horse shows! The museums! The history and architecture!  The young women were amazing! In just two weeks, Paris adopted me, speaking to them bad Quebec French, like a strange cousin.

I never returned, ‘cause some life experiences are too uniquely great that to attempt to recapture them just spoils everything, as too much changes; never the same.

You’re only young once; don’t miss out, but build those memories to sustain your entire life.

i live in america and the street over from my place is very dirty, my point was even in the richest country in the world - there are dirty areas, theres no need to bash paris when america has a lot of places that are dirty

I love love love the contrast of dirt and beauty in big cities. It's authentic. Also, I've been a few times and the people in Paris are super friendly and nice!
