With that being said, the culture, food, and architecture of France is and has always been very influential and beautiful. The architecture of Paris is out of this world, and American food would taste like British food if it weren’t for the influence of French cuisine.  
 

He purposely painted Paris as a whole as stinky and ghetto, and that certainly isn’t true. You can highlight the best touristy spots of any city and also highlight the worst parts of any city. He just chose to concentrate on the worst spots and use them to represent the city as a whole.

I don't expect its the Parisians on the whole who are romanticizing Paris lol

Not my fault that EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON I know who's been to Paris has told me that most Parisians they interacted with were rude and obnoxious. Sorry if my comment offended you but this is just what I've heard from many people.

And it's enough to make a generality out of it? Could you imagine making such a shortcut with, like, an ethnicity?

French culture certainly has its specificities and some people here might not be at first as outgoing as, let's say, Americans. But it doesn't mean that people are all assholes. I've been living in Paris for 7 years and while I've encountered my fair share of jerks, I can't say everyone here is like that. No more than anywhere else in the world. As I mentioned, you're interacting with people from everywhere in the world on this site, Parisians included. We're not some strange alien species that hate on foreigners.

From my own personal experience, most of the negative opinions I read in the thread are not exaggerated. I have nice friends in Paris and I saw beautiful places too, but generally speaking, many moments in the video are the exact mirror image of the place. Sure, that city has probably not much dirty and cringey spots than other big cities around, but there's such a huge contrast between the commonly spread glamourous image of Paris and the reality. One can be deceived. It was my case too.

I will say this: If you are not a fan of history DO NOT GO TO France. Actually do not go to Europe in general. The best part about Europe, the Middle East and Asia is the historic buildings. If you have no passion for ancient architecture and old history then honestly book yourself a trip to the Carribean or Australia or something nice and warm and tropical and stuff or go to a beach resort in the Mediterranean or something but yeah otherwise there is no point in visiting and then dragging these countries. 

To me when I visit any European or North African, Middle Eastern or Asian country I plan out a full array of monuments I must visit, read about the history, geek out, try to indulge in the culture and the history of the countries etc. If you want to just have fun and party and stuff then go to a beach resort and ibiza style night clubs lol

I've loved every second I spent in LA.

Maybe it's 'cause I get to leave Florida and go there (which is a serious upgrade) but I view that city and the surrounding area so fondly.

Disneyland, Universal, Hollywood, the Griffith Observatory, the Walk of Fame, and all the museums (we went to the Museum of Death, Stars of Darkness, Madam Tussauds, and a few others between my two trips there).

The Mexican culture being integrated in some places is beautiful, I NEED to go back to Olvera Street with @Flippy again, get more food, buy more trinkets, and see more of the area. And watch another dance party in the plaza

The drive to Malibu is probably one of my favorite parts too. I love that you leave this huge city, drive through gorgeous mountains, and arrive at the Pacific coast. I'm so jealous of Gaga for getting to live there.

What makes it so special for me, aside from the memories I've made with my people, is how night and day the LGBT acceptance is with my """home""" state. I flew out of a state where pride flags are literally banned and got to spend two weeks in a city where they're absolutely everywhere. I even got to go to OC Pride, which was my first pride event. I even met a trans artist (Kim Petras)...the best we have are centrist country musicians...

I've been up and down the east coast. Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Washington DC, Boston, and New York, but no place has made me as happy as LA.

I can't wait to go back and eventually live in California. The person I love is and a peaceful life 2000 miles away from a quarter century of bullsh*t is waiting. Going there legitimately feels like lifting a 10-ton weight off my shoulders. I can breathe...even if it is smog haha.

Every city will be full of trash and criminals. That's a given. But if you're planning a vacation, then plan the vacation. Don't just show up for a week, go to the most popular landmark, and have a crap time besides that then blast the whole place 'cause you bounced around cafes and boring clubs that you knew nothing about.

His video portrays exactly what LA looks like in some places and I still love that city to pieces. Maybe he should try planning his trips better and expanding his horizons when it comes to food and entertainment.

And also, this is 2023, hello? If he's looking to get d*cked down by a Parisian dad they make apps for that kind of stuff. There's literally thousands of options there. Don't just show up in a club and expect all the strangers to flock to your hole. Especially if your boring ass is just sitting there lmao.
