maybe if she didn't absolutely tank her reputation in the uk and make the majority of the population despise her. she's honestly ruined her chances of ever being taken seriously here as an artist.

Can you elaborate? I am not aware of what harm she has done. I always felt bad for her after Calvin Harris chokeholded songs he helped produce.

during the coronavirus pandemic she breached a number of rules. she came back from egypt and did not self-isolate for the period that she was legally required to, then held a birthday party at a restaurant (when people weren't allowed to hold any public gatherings) after explicitly paying the restaurant's staff to turn the cctv cameras off and keep it a secret. she was then fined for it.

honestly i can't mention her name to someone here without it being mentioned. you'll almost always get a response of "i haven't heard anything about her since she broke covid rules".

I’d also say her image isn’t the best since around 2015- present. I feel as if she’s know more for showing up at random events and having minor hits with well know djs. Also I think the whole home wrecker stuff with Connor McGreggor didn’t help either. She’s been around since like 2012 and I really can’t think of any major hit or signature song of hers.

oh yes, i mean she basically ruined an already weak image. she had a low enough profile that such a big news story became more or less the only thing she was known for.

I Will Never Let You Down was a pretty big hit. Anywhere and some of the songs from the Phoenix album got attention.

She's a bit of a **** (the culture vulture stuff in her early days, the flouting COVID-19, etc.).....but there are male stars and female stars who have done the same or worse. I mean, lbr, Dua was clearly breaking a **** ton of COVID rules...she just didn't get fined....and Ariana and others are also cultures vultures (or at least they were in the past). 

I do feel a tiny bit bad that people often act like she's the scum of the earth when she hasn't done anything "that" bad in the long run.
