The album is out now, and it's fantastic!

My favs are Kamikaze, Psychedelic Switch, So Right, and Come Over.

Gonna give it a listen in an hour or so.. it’s 6:20 in the morning here 😁

but I’m happy to see that it’s 13 tracks „only“. I didn’t really connect to the previous record simply because it’s just too much to listen to which makes it harder for me to form a relationship with these songs.
very excited ! She seems to be such a lovely person and musician :kara:

I'm gonna get dragged, but I don't really like it... :traumatica:

It just feels like exactly the same thing. The music is good - her music is almost always good in my book, but I don't know why I would listen to any of these tracks over every other song in her discography that I've been listening to much longer ... you know? Like it's just the same as every other album?

I think The Loneliest Time explored more sounds that aren't just traditional CRJ sounds whereas this album is just all her albums in one? The albums that stand out most sonically in her discography are The Loneliest Time and Dedicated (my fav CRJ album!!), for me. After Last Night, Kollage and Put It To Rest are the standout tracks.

I really really tried today to listen to this album after seeing so many tweets and posts on forums / comments on popheads particular saying this album is her best, but I just can't. :traumatica:

Lol it's only been 12 hours. Maybe they'll grow on you overtime. Took me a year to appreciate "Gimme Love" 🤡

I usually don't try to force myself to like albums if I don't connect with them.

I’ve been listening to it since it leaked last week….and it’s really sunk it’s teeth into me lol. Obviously just a palette from the previous album, but I loooooove her trying new things - she always says she loves collaborating with people who make music she likes to listen to, so it’s great to see her seeing which lanes suit her.

Current favorites:

-Shadow (best on the album??)

-Kollage (songwriting A+)

-Psychedelic Switch (that groove - that chorus)

-After Last Night (production is insane and love it more and more each time)

StressedOut

I love that she doubled down on what she tried out on The Loneliest Time,  I think these new 'Loveliest' tracks have more going on in them than songs from last album. She was more adventurous with the percussion too.

Spoiler

I personally immediately clicked with Loneliest for the most part. Loveliest I had to dissect a bit more, but I think I might like it more ?? :stupidoreo:
