Iirc it was supposed to just be a project that HAPPENED to be her next album. She did it to represent her journey through motherhood. She wasn’t even gonna tour for the album, but once she saw how many people loved it, I’m assuming the label gave the green light. The Chicago date I was at was PACKED TO THE BRIM.
