As a new Gaga fan, ARTPOP is my least liked album but still love several songs from it (I like more Chromatica and BTW than the others). I tend to take time to enjoy certain sounds or songs but Applause was my favorite song back in the day when I wasn't interested in LG as an artist. Always makes me want to dance, it gives me a high, that song is perfect.

But all in all.. we got so many amazing looks, interviews, performances, visuals. We were well fed after all and I have such a fond nostalgia for that time 

Oh I get why I’m just saying objectively she was burnt out before the era even got started and so she quite literally couldn’t be at her peak imo I’m not slamming her or ARTPOP at all just saying exactly what I said lol

the fact that gaga has release 2 solo albums in 10years since ARTPOP. but before ARTPOP she used to release an album every 1-2 years, what happened in the ARTPOP era really hit her, much more than i thought

im a straight male and i still do, idk why she is thought to be listened only by gays and girls, she’s one of the best singers-producers in music history. does listening to good music make me gay?

The little manager in me always thought that the verses on Applause were a bit too self-referential + meta for the GP + pop radio, but I've always loved the song + the video is easily one of her best.

No, but listening to Gaga back in the day was somewhat stigmatized because she was viewed as being primarily a "gay" artist by a lot of people (and of course, they thought that was a bad thing).
