P"SJamie Principle was one of the founders of house music, back when there wasn't even a name for it.

 

He's a straight, black man who, wanting escape from his stifling, orthodox religious upbringing in the erarly 80s,  found refuge in the Chicago gay Community.

"Baby Wants to Ride" was released in 1988 with a gazillion remixes.

 

Some of them more X-rated than the next, like the SweMix (later Cheiron, later Max Martin's "Wolf Cousins, later "Stupid Love!") from which I won't quote the lyrics of.

In this "redirected" version I'm glad they kept some of the dirty lyrics.

 

Jamie Principle was fabulously smutty, but at the same time very political.

And a role model for every free thinker out there.🤡💥

It entered the UK Singles Chart two times (number 84 in 1988, and number 59 in 1989)
