I am excited that the acquired discipline we saw when she did the polished Chromatica Ball Tour x Joker acting (not much into method acting it seems), which is to have more serious self-care, ninja-precision focus and adequate performance delivery to produce quality outputs...is in place, and that will be done in her work/art going forward. That's what I also felt in this post. There is "balance" more than ever.

Don't need to start acting holier than thou on those fans because of what we now know in hindsight (and people can still be upset the ad exists in the first place). 

It’s a nice post but it isn’t like people said she wasn’t workin on stuff  like you said, the flak was from a drug ad during pride month.

at the end of the day, it isn’t a huge deal. I mean, it’s a learning lesson for her team to remember that Gaga is a brand. Even if it isn’t her on social allll the time, you can’t be a celeb like Gaga and have it just be product sells. Hell, pull a Beyoncé and just have someone take her picture sometimes for a low lift social effort lmao it’s kinda a case study for personal branding imo. People don’t follow celebs on social to buy stuff, they buy it to experience the brand and purchases can be a part of that but not all of it.

Please, that's obviously bull and I almost wonder if the fan was setting her up because it was so obviously fake. That said, it's a comic book movie y'all. Unless she's in Florida doing promo for some reason or she gets asked about the election, talking about politics during the Joker 2 promo is going to seem way out of place.

Gaga just missed on year of talking on social media for pride, and fans decided that somehow meant 15+ yrs of activism was worthless. Like it's fine if some fans were disappointed, but the most vocal fans were not just disappointed and instead were acting insane.

The woman deadass runs a charity specifically for queer youth; has multiple songs dedicated to the queer community directly or the celebration of the queer community; takes every opportunity she has at her shows to preach about acceptance, love, kindness, and pride; lifts up queer artists - be they gay producers, trans youtubers, or drag performers; and even in her conservative friendly eras reminds the listeners/viewers that queer people have existed forever and will continue to

but to the point, I think it’s more that gay icons ought to rally visibly in times of danger. If that isn’t happening people will wonder why or why not. To brush it off as a “yay gay” post tells me you probably don’t feel a tremendous amount of threat rn (just speculating from the tone), which is great! Really. But others are definitely not so secure rn. They are getting harassed and having people talking about exterminating them on public platforms. knowing that there are people in the broader culture actively *now* speaking up for them instead of against from their positions of power is a huge deal. It’s made impact before, it can again. Gaga has influence and people know that. It’s not really a matter of her not “owing” someone something, a weirdly American transactional idea lmao it’s that she has power and influence and has flexed it before and let others know that they can feel safe bc she is out publicly stumping. Maybe it sounds weird, but there is some good that can come from talking about the good you’re doing, contrary to popular belief.

This. I don’t support the hate comments but this was so unexpected yet welcomed… I don’t think she has talked to us like that since quite some time and it’s nice to see she took a moment to finally address what everyone’s been waiting for (the Chromatica ball).

I wonder how long it will take to come out, but I’m excited for everything that’s about to come.

It’s amazing to have TCB film confirmed and new music and exciting other “special project”, but reading her defend herself for not posting and explaining her need for privacy makes me kind of sad too. The way she actually has to list all the things she’s been working on “joker etc” to prove to us that she hasn’t just been lazy and ignoring us is so sad. And we KNOw what she’s been doing, with Joker and HL, and some of us have written defenses of her that read very similar to what she wrote. It makes me worry that she actually read some of this crap that gets said on here. Anyways we def need to be more patient. I know I’m guilty of being frustrated that there was no confirmation of the TCB film for so long. We all need to be more patient and have more faith in her.
