petestavros 3
No. She's already beginning in a league of "touring" artists, like Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, U2 and The Rolling Stones. No matter the quality and success of the album they produce, they'll still attract a decent audience. The success of the album and singles really only hurts her a little, in bringing down audience slightly and possibly having less publicity. The lyrical and thematic content of ARTPOP will not effect the dates, venues, continents or gross. I disagree. A PERFECT example is Mexico City. Just look at the difference that one year of bad publicity and underperforming did. She literally performed for 100,000 in 2011 and around 45,000 in 2012. Why? She never promoted anything in Mexico, songs from Born This Way were NEVER played on the radio...I literally traveled there twice between the two times she was there, and they kept playing Just Dance. Really. And when I went to the Born This Way Ball there, everyone was telling me about how she's barely been promoted in Mexico. She's not a touring artist yet. Or maybe it was the fact that the average ticket price went up by $13, and for the Born This Way Ball, it was simply a stop halfway through the tour - whereas last time it was her first time in Mexico City, the last dates of the widely known and celebrated Monster Ball, and truly a cheap-ticketed event for all.
