I laugh so hard everytime a DRAG QUEEN says something against capitalism lol like girl, if it wasn't for that system you could NEVER do your art at the level you're used to. Even the phone that she is using to complaint (like she always does) is in his hands thanks to the system she hates so much...

Hope Yvie (one of the worst winners of DR) someday will use that energy for her art

And what about those many queens who refused to return to all stars? Peppermint, Laganja, Nina Bonina, etc?

It's funny how many professional and talented queens are in peace with the franchise but people preffer to side with the salty ones that are the least talented: Pearl, Willam, Yvie, Carmen Carrera...

The only queen who is professional and talented but also a DR hater is Courtney Act

Sorry for the double post, it wasn't on purpose

I think they kind of have to negotiate bringing them onto all stars bc they have to say yes. I always feel like this comes from being promised certain things and either not delivering or falling flat on it.
production has been confirmed to be pretty shady though. Jinx Vs Monet for instance

Capitalism is a monster when it’s taken advantage of. Not paying people is one example. Is it providing opportunities yes but you also can’t abuse that and use that as an excuse

To add another thing, I thought the same while watching Rupaul HUGE ASS HOUSE in that Vogue interview. I thought about many queens talking about spending all the money and savings to do the show, Silky almost became homeless and yet the host is like a b/milionaire.

Why she didn't call out Ru too? Producers may no be queers, but Ru is and it should be an ally to all of them? So call her out and ONLY THEN I'll applaude you.

the show has been disrespectful to its cast since near the very beginning, when crew members called latrice "lathing"

the show has run its course but it keeps ru employed so it won't end anytime soon. even Dragula is starting to decline in quality, hopefully something fresh will come along.

mother, what must i do?

i can't imagine still harboring this take when blh is hosting her own series and doing better than ever. you just sound like an immature, pressed stan

I'm not even a fan of drag/reality TV, much less a stan; I'm just very opinionated and after randomly deciding to watch that season I think her win was an unsatisfying conclusion to the storyline :enigma:

You can say what you want, but saying Willam and Yvie are untalented is just bitter on your side because you don't like them for some reason. I watched all seasons and take the entertainment for what it is, but I am well aware that it is indeed just another highly produced reality show, and so it will always have to deal with shitty "Hollywood-like" (often forced) production.

It makes good TV at the expense of the people on the screen. Yes, they can get a lot from it (if they win or if they are called back for some other activity with the franchise) but they can also totally ruin their careers/life forever like we have seen multiple times. It's the oldest story in Hollywood, if you want to be a star you have to sell yourself. Fortunately nowadays we get to be more aware of these things and maybe have consequences for extreme bad situations behind the scenes, but most of the time the ones who get the short end of the stick are the ones on screen, and not the ones behind the cameras.

I don't think you understood my original comment? laganja is a horrible example considering her previous experience on season 6. nina is delusional and proven herself to be a horrible person, but I'm sure if her parents kick her out of their basement, she'll change her tune. peppermint barely made it to the finale and her career is thriving so idk why she'd want to be exploited. what point were you trying to make?

you don't even know that they're at peace with the franchise and production, you're just talking out of your ass to try to prove a point.

The bitter gays in this thread siding with the producers... a choice indeed.

I AM SHOOK AT SOME OF THESE COMMENTS...

I love how they are calling Yvie bitter, a person that has been on the show twice and probably knows what's up more than the people in this thread.

Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

I ONLY watch Drag Race for the queens and their art. It has been several years since a maxi challenge actually made me laugh or a whole season went unproduced especially with how they handle the judging. If I did drag, I would probably want to go on the show too, the coin outweighs the risks. You CAN do the show, be successful and be critical about it.

Both Ru and Michelle are also producers on the show. I think it's obvious that Ru gets the biggest paycheck along with other key producers

I like dancin', and ponies....
