Gay actors exist . There’s fewer gay roles than there are straight roles.  Give gay ppl jobs they’re entitled to.  I know it’s “acting” and the whole point of acting is playing a character and not playing yourself- however, when the actor and the character share important characteristics I think that is a benefit and should be embraced.  At the end of the day, LGBTQ ppl are still minorities, therefore, we should be included, especially when it’s more than appropriate/obvious.  

The sad reality is no one will go see it or it will make no money for the studio. 2 straight Hollywood actors playing gay characters and possibly having sex scenes together will bring people to watch it and make money.

And the sad thing is it’s the gay who’re buying those tickets to see two straight men play gay scenes together.  Ugh

But isn't it great that we are living in a world right now where gay content is requested more often and established actors don't shy away from such roles? We should focus on the big picture, which is to make gay content even more visible and mainstream.
 

also, in a perfect world gay actors should be allowed to play straight characters and straight actors should be allowed to play gay characters.
