"SAOKO" video director dead in plane crash

It's with a heavy heart that I've just learnt about the passing of Valentin Petit, who was an up-and-coming music video and advertisement director. He was especially known for directing Rosalía's SAOKO video. He passed away last Saturday in a plane crash, mere days before his 33rd birthday.

Valentin was known for his innovative and mind-bending shooting techniques, he had a very distinct style that made him a talent to watch. He had a great career ahead of him. I've had the privilege of working with him a couple years ago, I can't even begin to describe what a significant loss it is for the industry. He was a genius and a creative, kind individual, and my thoughts go out to his family and friends.

So sorry for you both. I will definitely check out his work, I only know Saoko which is so fresh, fun and dynamic. Such a shame the world lost such a talented young person.
