This is pretty telling lol, the people who can’t appreciate the intricacies and depth of Oceon Blvd. are still stuck in 2012, thinking Lana Del Rey is just a character that romanticizes old Hollywood and Marilyn Monroe, which blinds you from acknowledging the greatness of Lana’s new work because you “miss the old Lana” and this character that you think she has to be all the time. The truth is her best work has been post LFL, she has transcended pop and she’s on par with some of the greatest songwriters and music makers of the last 100 years, sorry your still in 2012 and can’t appreciate it.

Aaaa, no

Did you know that there's a tunnel under ocean blvd, in my opinion is just boring. And I am a big fan of Lana since her first song, but again.. in my opinion Born To Die is still her best album

It's close to midnight and something evil's lurkin' in the dark. â—‹â—Ź

I don't think this is a fair assumption to make. I ranked it last as well, but not because I think its a bad album (OP's opinion seems to differ?). Absolutely none of her albums are bad. It's just the album I am least likely to revisit when compared to her others. The same goes for NFR. Just not albums I revisit often, although I revisit NFR more, so I ranked it higher. Nobody is listing their rankings based on objective comparisons - my list would be much different, but rather personal ones and likely influenced with experiences they had during that albums' cycle.

1. Norman F*cking Rockwell!
2. Ultraviolence
3. Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd
4. Lust for Life
5. Paradise
6. Honeymoon
7. Born to Die
8. Blue Banisters
9. Chemtrails Over the Country Club

There are songs on every album that I love, but undeniably NFR is untouched. Ocean Blvd is very quickly becoming one of my favs from her; the songwriting, melodies and vocal performances really are some of her best. Ultraviolence, for me, will remain a nostalgic favourite for me. It's not a perfect album by any means, but just listening to it (especially a few songs in particular) makes me super nostalgic.

Just bc someone likes her older albums doesn’t mean they can’t appreciate the newer stuff. Music taste is subjective and this take is pretentious. They can have their reasons for liking certain albums, just like you can.
