"The Prayer" WITHOUT John Legend

Hi!

I've been obsessed with Celine since I was a kid so when her and Gaga turned out to be friends I was over the moon. Their performance of "The Prayer" with Andrea Bocelli from the One World at Home thing during the pandemic had me crying like a baby.

HOWEVER, John Legend decided to be a disrespectful TWAT who doesn't add anything to that performance. I'm hoping someone can somehow take his part out and maybe replace it with Celine from the original or... something like that so I don't have to be reminded every time I listen to that performance. I know y'all are talented af so I thought I'd ask to see if someone could. Or if it's already been done to guide me in the proper direction.

Thank you!

why do you say he was disrespectful?

I don't think he was disrespectful, but it was a bad decision to participate in "The Prayer", as his technical circumstances were weak compared to the others. In the first months of Covid, many people struggled with this, and this is true for the entire OWTAH. I think he should have performed one of his well-known songs separately.

Yeah I agree, but I don’t get why this is deserving of being a disrespectful twat, or I missed something

Poor old J Legend got a lot of flak for that performance, but it looked like somebody ambushed him at the bottom of his stairs and asked him would he help out by singing a few lines. I'm pretty sure he had sung something else earlier (with his wife possibly ?). This performance was by way of a big closing number, and I think they wanted to assemble a diverse 'one world together' group. All five performed separately as far as I remember and then they were edited together.

because he’s literally doing a number of an incredible song with legendary artists and he put effort into good production in every other segment he had on the show but on this one he was sitting on the stairs with airpods barely putting in any effort looking like he was reading the lyrics off a sheet of paper in his hands with poor video quality???

This was way better even without a home studio. I wouldn't go as far as calling him a disrespectful twat, but it was a weird choice to perform his parts the way he did.

and then there's this:

He did better than he did in The Prayer, and he clearly put more effort.
