Doja Cat Announces New Album Title, Calls Last Two “Cash Grabs”

Doja Cat is once again making some pretty controversial statements on social media. The singer has been generating excitement for her upcoming album by leaking snippets of unreleased songs on Instagram Live. She also announced that the album’s new title would be First of All.
 

While she was online, she tweeted about her previous albums, as well. Doja claims that both Hot Pink and Planet HER were “cash grabs.” She said that she could now disappear to an island and touch grass while fans weep for “mediocre pop.”

 

In the past, Doja Cat has tweeted “no more pop” and admitted that some of her rap verses are “mid and corny,” although she enjoys making music. She believes her resentment for pop music may stem from the way it gets overplayed. She was recently awarded for a billion spins on the radio and feels she is constantly being shoved down people’s throats.

She lost my respect right here. Although she may be talented and capable of creating better work, I don't appreciate that kind of attitude. Most of her fans hold those albums dear to their hearts, and it feels disrespectful for her to dismiss them so easily. It’s because of the support of her fans she can go to those islands and touch grass, or whatever.

Gosh I really dislike this attitude. Knowing that as an artist she garnered so much claim from those albums. I think she is trolling fans. I hope so at least cause she sure enjoyed her time during those album

cycles.
