I think it's lame to be pressuring celebs to tweet about political issues, because it spreads the message that tweeting is doing something helpful. But it's not, tweeting and announcing goodness on social media is just virtue signaling and improving one's own image. I think Gaga is cool for doing charitable and activist things behind the scenes and not making it about her own image. I think that, by pressuring her to tweet, ppl are actually pressuring her to BECOME a "performative ally." Tweeting is peak "performative ally." So stop with the judgment of Gaga's morals over whether or not she twats a tweet. I honestly wasn’t trying to „drag“ her as the kids would say and more so curious. I also wasn’t asking for tweeting, maybe my use of the word „commenting“ was a little misleading. Just seeing more and more fundraiser happening and she’s kinda missing in these contexts, that’s why I was asking. aaand, one last thing. I also didn’t use the term „performative ally“. I said „ally celeb“, meaning celebrities that are known for being ally’s. All the big pop girlies and so on. Next time, please read what’s actually written, not everything is an attack. Emvee 7,730
I’m just going to be completely honest, I expected more from Gaga on this but if she feels uncomfortable using her voice to denounce anti-trans legislation, then that’s her prerogative. But it’s not just Gaga. It definitely feels like the LGBT community is on its own when it comes to celebrity support.

Stay tuned next week to see if her 15 years of alliance with the gay community has been true, or just a Perfect Illusion It's funny that you bring up Perfect Illusion, actually I know it's a bit of a meme but I think there was some truth to her saying that song was about social media. Also the "I am lost in the age of the social" in Angel Down. She likely doesn't view empty tweets or posts on social media as activism anymore. She's outspoken when she's on stage and imo, that's what really counts. She's not a politician If you want the f*ckery in TN, FL, or anywhere else addressed, Lady Gaga (or any other celebrity really) is not the person you need to be wondering about
