King of the Fall 3,811 Posted April 25, 2023 Share Posted April 25, 2023 So to answer both questions at once, I was born in 1974 which would make me 49 today and 16 at the time I saw Madonna in Houston Texas during the Blonde Ambition Tour. I liked a girl who I had just connected with was a big Madonna fan and she had previously bought two tickets for herself and a friend who had bailed on her last minute and so I was invited instead. I was was not a Madonna fan at the time and really I had no idea what to expect, our seats were pretty close to the stage and needless to say I was completely blown away by the spectacle I witnessed, crowd was one of the craziest I have ever seen at a concert. The moments I remember most clearly are Like A Virgin with the simulated masturbation and when she was dressed in the pink with a harp doing songs like Cherish and Into The Groove. I went on to see Madonna 2 more times during her Reinvention and Rebel Heart tours, both shows were great but they were nothing compared to Blonde Ambition. The verbiage they've used when addressing this question has implied it'll be mostly modern day updates/recreations of the classic looks, but that it's possible we'll see some original costume pieces making a return in smaller capacities. I doubt she will wear the exact same costumes, because they need to be kept in good conditions, and the wear and tear of the tour would damage them significantly.
