Schwerk 7,002 Posted April 15, 2023 Share Posted April 15, 2023 As a big Elton John lover, the fact that it mirrors Bennie and The Jets makes me like it less, it makes me want to turn Hey Girl of and put on Bennie instead. Sonically it's not what expected from a collab with Florence, so that added to the initial let down and I never really gave it a fair chance again. I like the song for what it is, the bridge is beautiful and so are they're harmonies in that last part but I wish they would've made a more epic, driving, uplifting song together.
