RichAssPiss 4,725
I don't expect she could either mature into a legit artist or drum up interest for a retro Katy silly pop record. Smile was not a terrible record but it was managed poorly. I thought songs like "Teary Eyes" and "Cry About It Later" were good and could have worked at adult contemporary radio. Her honest best bet is adult pop, sleek and not too bombastic, or juvenile. Basically, the P!NK route. As nuch as people hate it, it works because it serves the radio format and audience that best reaches the demo audience for women in the their 30s. Yas I thought I was alone. Smile is a surprisingly good album, my fave after Witness. I like Teenage Dream oc but it’s really saturated. I can’t wait for KP6 Smash With a Smile
