I'm still trying to digest this album and I'm at a crossroads. I want to love it so much because I'm seeing her on tour and I wanna listen and get to know the words but IDK y'all, something about this album is just not clicking with me. I feel like a lot of the songs are generic sounding or should have been produced differently. The Missy Elliott feature is a total missed opportunity and the Future feature is so weird to have on a (country?ish?) ballad. 

 

Body Do is certainly the supreme bop of the album. I also like I Don't Mind, Feel Me Cry, and In Pieces. But the rest... I'm really trying here lol

Bad album. Second half is much better than the first, though. Seeing a lot of comments saying that Body Do is the best on the album which leaves me very confused. I think that song is so bad.

I gave it a listen yesterday and honestly there are maybe 2 songs that I might come back for. I hope it grows on me

It's not the kind of R&B album that will last. It sounds flat and downer. Like, if you hears Alicia Keys or SZA, you know the sounds of the song and their vocals, how the sing their songs, sets them apart from the rest. There are licks to it, so to say. Not happening to Chlöe, as much as she actually can sing.
