Economy 42,281
https://www.insauga.com/major-chian-ufc-gym-suddenly-closes-without-telling-members-and-staff-in-mississauga/ UFC Gym in Mississauga (Toronto's Largest Suburb city) left a note without warning on the weekend that it was closed for renovations. Members and staff were not warned. Monday came, it still wasn't open, then it was discovered the equipment had all be removed and the gym closed forever Members and staff were not warned. It is said the gym collected fees for the entire month and very recently enrollment fees of $100 from members who barely got to use it. A staff member commenting on it says the gym owes him over $200 but he does not have the time or money to try to fight for it back in court
bionic 32,037
This happened to a casino years ago near where I lived when I was a law student The company settled their major trade debts (rent, suppliers etc) so when the employees took it to court the judges didn't care and actually chastised them for bringing it to court over 'small' amounts of money It was a miscarriage of justice really Edited March 24 by bionic buy bionic
RAMROD 87,013
See this is why I don't trust gyms membership with my CCs and were always using one of those gift debit cards that you can top up with the amount you like, safer bet that way Sorry that you have to go thru this (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ 努力 未来, A BEAUTIFUL ST𖤐Я (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
Anderson123 26,838
This happened to the gym I attend lol. It was a regular day and at 10 am they told customers they were going to close to do some renovations. They had a note saying it'd be 2 weeks of renovations but there were no equipment. A month later it re-opened with a new name, new colors, and new equipment (new owners I guess?) and people who had an active membership just lost it but members of the old gym had one free month. My brother had just paid 3 months before they closed, I had one month left so we all just got one free month.

They full blown disappeared and took all deposits
