They made the voting all about Loreen when in reality not a single country gave her 12 points. Why are we acting like no one from the public voted for Loreen? She was second on televote having votes from 36/37 countries (and guess who didnt gave her any points... Exactly, Finland!) Nobody is saying that the public didn’t love Loreen and that she wasn’t great. But it’s extremely misleading to spend a whole hour showing almost every country give her 12 points when not a single country gave her that during the televote. 99% of people watching probably didn’t even realize that Finland won the televote and it wasn’t even close. It's always been announced like that tho', the reason to spend more time on jury votes than televote is just because it gets more interesting than doing it in reverse. Gotta love the drama of Sweden 2018 being Top 10 with juries and then televote giving them 20 points, also last year would've been a snorefest 'cause Ukraine got +400 televote points so we already would've known they won (even if we all knew they'd win even before the show) Also because jury votes are given a day before the finale, so they already have those and while televote recount is happening they are giving the juries votes. Finland got 12 points from 18 countries yet we only heard “12 poits go to Finland” once. Maybe they could announce the jury and televote points for each country at once. Or even combine them. GC1234 655
So glad Sweden won!! Finland was classic Eurovision, but Loreens vocals were incredible and I loved the performance in general!! I was initially excited for our UK entry as the song is a bop, but the live vocals were……. Something This is also now a Hannah Waddingham Stan account. Loved her quirky, cool and glamorous aunty energy Get that fire exit door, I’m off...

We had that method of voting years ago and people disliked it 'cause of course juries and televote differ in their voting so the results made less sense. Finland got to hear "you got +300 points from the televote!" and then was in the split screen for the rest of the show. Its been like that for almost 10 years and we've all been fine. Levine 23,546
Did people watch it for the first time or...? The presenting voting systems has been very clear for years. They tried different systems through decades and this is the best one because it can change everything in a minute. No one "believed that the public voted for Loreen" because 1. people know the rules and 2. the hosts explain the rules every single year. _ Anyway I'm glad she won. Not the best song but at least she beat that noisy mess of Finland that everbody seemed to love and I never get why. My Marco Mengoni placing 4th is an amazing result the highest of the big 5 and against all odds
Levine 23,546
In italy it's the most viewed finale ever (leaving out the one we organized last year for obvious reasons). 5 milion and a share of 34% (it's GIGANTIC for our tv). Marco Mengoni bringing quality and ratings as per usual!
Fantina 3,342
I liked Sweden but getting that many jury points is kind of absurd, seeing as though there were many really good songs this year. I am sorry, but some of the votes didn't make sense at all. This was one of the worst votings I have ever seen in my life (not talking about Loreen) Until then, this is Elvira saying unpleasant dreams.

The fact it was notably lower and she still failed to reach it lol. Plus you could barely hear her in parts. Such a shame as the staging and projections were great. Back to the bottom we go, and deservedly so Get that fire exit door, I’m off...
