She's tackled a lot of important issues, been vulnerable and had carefree fun. Do you think she'll take us somewhere new, or revisit or combine previous themes? What are your takes? I love her rebellious side and honestly I expected LG6 to be a lot more political than Chromatica ended up being. Chromatica chronicled her battle to reach recovery... but what happened next? How does Gaga view the world now she has faced so many of her fears? I think that's what LG7 will be based on. Noah 26,635 Posted February 20, 2023 Share Posted February 20, 2023 I wonder if its Maturity. I'm guessing Gaga is in a total different headspace now than when she did Chromatica (2018-2019). She is a lot more distant, which allows her to be a lot more focused. Her Love for her craft is stronger than ever imo, cause the way she talks about either making Makeup, getting into character for movies, creating the world of Chromatica. There is a refinement there that comes with maturing and really understanding how things around you work. So I think we will definitely hear about growing up, reflecting or just on a meta-level about becoming mature. Since Chromatica has finished recording, Gaga has used her voice for social Issues a lot clearer than before yet also been the most fun in a while. I think that just comes with being at peace, growing. Gaga was looking at society and told the stories she saw through her own perspective. TFM, ARTPOP, Joanne and Chromatica were all very much pointed inward. They were a microscope on her own experience. Working through themes that weighed heavily on her. And then of course all albums included songs about her love life. I know I already said it in a previous comment but I'd love for the next album to point outward. Not many artists do that anymore, and Gaga thrives when she does.
