I thought the video for Death was like a placeholder to generate buzz while she films the movie... but now she says she will be rolling out music videos for every song across the next 2 years?? Has the movie been scrapped and she's going back to the Crybaby era way of doing things? I'm so confused.. there's no way she's doing a mv for every song and a visual album/movie. (This theory of mine is supported by the fact that she said that there would be more acting/dialogue scenes in the film than musical ones.) Fans are speculating that maybe they're still discussing the budget/it wasn't picked up. Her numbers/sales this era have far surpassed expectations and outsold previous eras so it'd be a major surprise if they decided PORTALS didn't perform well enough. I think that’s why the K-12 era fizzled out so quick; the videos all were there right from the start. Crybaby era was so well received, I think, because the videos kept the hype going. Plus, since it was a overarching story, when a new video was coming out, people would re watch old videos again, to get refreshed on everything. I'm inclined to agree - although I loved the K-12 movie, and it got me so much more into the album - that album was my top album of 2019. But given the attention and charting that this album has already produced, I think it is for the best her financial situation for filming the Portals movie is what it is and the videos will be coming out one at a time, across the span of the era.
