Born This Way.

i was not a fan back then and I never had a proper start-to-finish listen (tho I know every song by heart now). I’m curious how I’d react at first listen.

Born This Way, all the way.

The hype, blasting Judas on my headphones, watching live the Mugler fashion show to hear Government Hooker, the Scheibe Mugler remix, picking up clues from her Gagavisions like Electric Chapel, the chills I got when the soaring chorus of Americano kicked in, the magic that The Edge of Glory had at first listen... It was an experience like no other :nooo:

Head Empty

I had a very mixed reaction when I first listened to Born This Way, but nowadays it's possibly my all time favorite album. I'd be curious to see how I'd react to a first listen now, without all of the juvenile expectations I had back then.

On the other hand, Chromatica was a fantastic first experience so I'd love to re-experience it as well.

Born this way definitely. I remember I missed school because it was leaking on tumblr Gagavisions made me sooo hyped and then listening to the songs felt amazing, and Id love to re live that again. That feeling of listening to that song that we had a snippet of or a remix and finally get to know how it sounds after so much teasing :bradley:

It felt like everyone in the world was perched as to what she was gonna do next at the time. The adrenaline that hits from the start of Marry The Night til the end as the epic The Edge of Glory plays is like none of her other albums imo.

my initial thought was Chromatica but I'm going to switch it to The Fame Monster, imagine never hearing Bad Romance, Telephone, Alejandro, Monster, DITD, the entire thing. It applies to all albums lol but that's my pick

You made me realize I had never listened to Traumatica in full :air:

Chromatica :tony:

After ARTPOP and Joanne my expectations were a lot lower than the peak of my stanning… then she released my favourite album.  It slayed me from day one and slays me to this day :vegas:

ARTPOP.

My favorite Gaga experience, nearly all of the songs made my jaw drop during the first listen!

I've been getting messages from my deep waters

Chromatica was definitely my least favorite upon first listen. I was literally upset at how disappointed I was :flop:

Alice was underwhelming, I love Stupid Love and Rain on Me but we had heard them before, then I heard what they did to Free Woman...I hated the dance breaks in that song and Fun Tonight (and still do). That put me in a sour mood for 911. Plastic Doll was meh. Sour Candy sucked. Enigma and Replay were alright. Sine From Above was great. 1000 Doves was a snooze and didn't need to be a dance song. And Babylon was just ok.

Spoiler

Of course, now the album has grown on me :firega:

Alice is a whole bop, even if I think it's only half a song and could easily be cut without the album losing anything important.

SL and ROM, still bops.

Free Woman was saved by Rina (the album version is still trash compared to the remix and demo and I won't apologize for it xoxo)

Fun Tonight is great, even though the dance break is still stupid and unnecessary.

911? Clearly a bop.

Plastic Doll? Bop.

Sour Candy's still a skip.

Enigma is my favorite song on the album and now it's one of my favorite songs in general.

Replay is god tier.

Sine From Above is still ethereal.

1000 Doves still needs to be a ballad 'cause that dance version ain't it.

And Babylon slays in every form.
