Russia threatens Moldova over its desire to integrate into a bigger military alliance

Russia again threatens the Republic of Moldova with " the repetition of the Ukrainian scenario". This time the statements come from the Russian senator Andrei Klimov as a reaction to the statements of the president Maia Sandu regarding a possible renunciation of neutrality and rapprochement with NATO. According to him, the president of the Republic of Moldova risks repeating the " suicidal policy" of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Russian senator asked if Maia Sandu wants to make the Republic of Moldova a province of Romania, which he called  " the most backward country in NATO".
