SpaSeekers.com used Google search data to analyse which spa trip destinations around the world are having a surge in interest. The data shows that Costa Rica 🇨🇷 is the number one trending spa destination for 2023, with a huge 62,000% increase in searches globally. Germany 🇩🇪 is next with a 12,400% increase, followed by Croatia 🇭🇷 (up 1,019%), Moldova (up 250%) 🇲🇩, and Cambodia (+191%). Europe features the most in the top 20, with Poland, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Portugal being named as some of the world’s top trending spa destinations. From Asia, honeymoon hotspot Maldives, Vietnam and Indonesia also make it on the list. River 127,310 Posted January 24, 2023 Share Posted January 24, 2023 I won't suggest Costa Rica for a trip, a very expensive country, not worth to do a spa or beach trip there when u can find the same but much better anywhere else in the continent like Brazil, Chille, Panama, Mexico. lived there for 5 years and I left with a bad taste, will never visit there again, first country that I just want forget that I ever lived there. It means it became more popular, but says nothing about the total popularity (let alone quality) of the place.
