This fan base and place felt like family now it just feels like you’re constantly walking on egg shells with everyone. Everyone is gonna get offended by something. Gaga connected people who felt alienated and unseen growing up so we genuinely cared for one another and respected each other. Especially since a while back being different was far less tolerated than it is now, so GGD was a safe space for many. Now it feels like we all grew up, kinda outgrew Gaga’s ideals as well and this site went from being a community to just another pop forum where everyone bickers. LaFama 4,363 Posted January 11, 2023 Share Posted January 11, 2023 I started to lurk the forum before Joanne release but became an active member during Chromatica, so I can't really speak for how things were before on here, but I mean, yes things get messy sometimes, but overall I don't think it's that bad lol. Sure, there's has been drama but I think there's also a sense of community. I've been a fan since The Fame and lived the stan life on tumblr, twitter, etc, and in my experience, I think it's more enjoyable now lmao, I guess it's because we're older. During TFM - ARTPOP a lot of us were teens/young adults and super passionate, it was a constant fight against every other fanbase trying to prove her talent and artistry, and that made everything super toxic and chaotic, every day she was being mocked, criticized and attacked. There's not much need for that nowadays tho, the tables turned and she's a pretty respected artist and a well established name . I think it's not that we're not passionate anymore, most of us just learned to enjoy the things that we get. Of course, there will bitching and complaining but it's nowhere as bad as it was on early 10's.
