Miley Cyrus - Endless Summer Vacation (new album out March 10th)

Just got through first full listen. It’s very, very strong.

for those asking, no it is not her Lana era. It feels more like a Taylor Swift pop album… somewhere between Midnights and Lover.

Big romantic ballads, midtempo contemplative bops, and a couple big shimmery, synth-laden uptempo pop songs. 

that said I find it stronger than most of Taylor’s albums as I find Miley a more authentic vocalist. @River is a bop. Other highlights are Jaded, Rose Colored Lenses, Violet Chemistry, Island, Muddy Feet, & Wonder Woman.

the only track I think is a true lowlight is You, it’s just not doing anything for me. But all together this is a great album and probably her most cohesive in terms of concept and sonic execution.

Island is my favorite track. I’m obsessed. It’s so nice and breezy. It’s probably the most similar, sonically, to Flowers.

I've been listening to it on repeat for most of the day and my album tracklist ranking has moved around a bit. I will say that I think the weakest link is Muddy Feet. It's the only track I have started sometimes skipping.

I can't believe Jaded comes right after Flowers I wasn't ready for that. It's so good.

Rose Coloured Lenses is the one on repeat for me. It's a clear ear worm.

I've listened to it a few times all the way through and all I can say is WOW. Possibly one of her strongest albums, and its not what I expected at ALL.

The best way to describe ESV is like a weird mix of the better parts of Dead Petz and the ballads of Bangerz. Her voice is phenomenal all the way through, every song stands out as it's own thing but it all comes together beautifully.

It's crazy seeing how far Miley has come

Her best?? I'm a big fan of Plastic Hearts, which is by far her best album from my perspective. Looking forward to hearing the new album tonight and see how it compares. 🤞❤️🤞
