I’ve been listening to Chromatica 3 times a day everyday for the last 2 years. 

This album is everything I’ve always wanted from her. The alien cyberpunk aesthetics (with a touch of gay), video game style music, incorporating the house genre, retro vibes, sad melodies with pop beat, cohesion. Nearly every song is a bop and speaks to me on a personal level. I could go on and on but it’s a masterpiece in my eyes.

I loved the album since the very first day, every single song is a bop, no skips, and TCB only made me love it even more. The way she came up with all of those lyrics about hurting and healing, and then just layed a dance beat on top of all of that. IMO Chromatica is a masterpiece and definitely one of Gaga's best projects

Babylon alone makes the album worth it.

Think about the positives. you might not like the songs better than born this way tracks, but they are a HELL of a lot better sounding and produced.

Worth the $13 to purchase? Yes!

Worth the wait as being a pop album since 2013s ARTPOP? Yes  

Worth the wait for a new era? Kinda, but we can blame Covid for issues with promo. The art/visuals/theme/aesthetics of the album are perfect but we should have gotten way more  

 

Music is pretty fascinating in the sense that one song you love may be a song you can’t stand later, and vice versa. In regards to Chromatica, I think the lyrics were deep and somber. The music itself was pretty interesting and a nice ode to electronic music. Different samples of genres that I never thought would be on a main pop girl record (DnB on “Sine”).
 

The last few years have been fantastic. We got ASIB with perfect high level ballads. Chromatica with pop/electronic music. Plus, jazz covers with Love For Sale. As far as it being a 2020 Gaga pop album, it’s perfect.

I'm of the opinion if an album has even ONE really good song, it was already worth it. (Alice, 911, Enigma, Replay, Babylon are so good ) 

Yes, Chromatica had some fan service-y aspects to it, but considering that she was planning promo out the a** before the pandemic happened, it makes sense. Lyrics, sure maybe left something to be desired, but gaga dabbles in pretty heavy self-hating/mental health topics, which I don't personally think are so "commercially friendly". 

Production, we can agree to disagree, but Chromatica is to me her best produced album. And even if it's not the best, it's Top 3 in her discography (solely on production)

I love that all of her pop albums are different from each other, each has its own distinct sound and direction. I think a lot of fans, for a long time now, have wanted her to simply recreate The Fame and The Fame Monster, especially with Chromatica after a 7 year gap without a pop album. Chromatica is not at all a rehashing of those albums, it's its own beast and (I think) a wonderful dance album and an indispensable record in Gaga's discography.

there's always this problem, of fans setting themselves up in expectation for something they were never promised, or feeling like they're owed a debt from the artists they support, and when those things don't come to fruition, they become hostile, bitter, whiney. that seems to be the case quite a bit with Gaga's fans, and I think that's because they feel like they themselves own a bit of her career, and if it twists and turns in ways they don't like, they respond like children who don't get what they want.

"Was it worth it?" is a really condescending way to phrase this question imo as if it's something to be regretted, or some colossal misstep that spent artistic capital she'll never get back. Give me a break

Yes it's worth it, so much. Anyways, stream Joanne and Chromatica  Stream all her albums, and appreciate each album for what they are and who they are for instead of being patronizing because of an album that was released two years ago in a PANDEMICCC

Let me put it this way… I’ve been a stan since BEFORE The Fame was released, and Chromatica is easily in my top 2 albums of hers.

It defined a very chaotic and difficult time in my life, and the Chromatica symbol is what I settled on after spending years trying to decide what I would get as a tattoo to celebrate her.

The Chromatica Ball is also my favourite show of hers, and I’ve seen her 13 times.

It was worth it in ever sense for me and many others.

Girl….. chromatica is an album made solely to chase the current house music revival. and i think her first and second album are more commercial friendly (created to make her a hit pop singer) than the rest of her albums, combined.

4 songs out of like 16 does not make it a good record ,for me, life is too short - I’ll just make it an EP in itunes
