As you may know Kevin Conroy passed away recently. He was the most iconic and prolific voice of Batman for 30 years. His performance transcended multiple generations. He DEFINED the character, more than any actor ever has - and probably ever will - in live action. He simply IS Batman. 

Kevin was gay and if you watch the video below, you will learn his remarkable story about overcoming his trauma and finding the role that changed his life forever. He related to Batman - a deeply damaged character who also lived a double life and hid his true self from the world. 

Earlier this year he opened up about his personal life in a short comic for DC Pride.

I grew up watching the animated JL and JLA series, it still holds up to this day. For me, Kevin was the voice of Batman and for so many others.

He's inspiring. Aside from Gaga, he's the artist that had the biggest impact on my life.
