I wouldn’t agree because cultural dominance is not achieved through one viral song. I’m not diminishing their success, on the contrary it was quite a successful “comeback”. But a revolutionary one, a hard no.

Happy for Sam and Kim's viral success, but the song itself... I don't get it. Will it be remembered a year from now?

Cultural dominance? Where? :poot:

GGD is literally the only place I've seen their name and it's always right next to Kim Petras :poot:

Other than the song they made (I forget the name of it), the last time I heard anything about Sam is when Tom Petty was suing them for "ripping off" I Won't Back Down :rip:

Oh please.

Kate Bush single-handedly broke almost every record in the book, without lifting a finger.

Mother stays mothering.

"redefining the gender roles of pop stardom" "return to cultural dominance" "revolutionary."

No shade towards Sam Smith but that seems like... a lot for just 1 viral song
