I think some of y’all need an education on who we just gave back to Russia in exchange for a WNBA player who tried to smuggle drugs into a foreign country during a global crisis that said country initiated.

- Sentenced for 25 years on charges of conspiring to kill American citizens

- Released after 11 years (present day), thus doing less time in American prison than citizens convicted for drug charges

- He’s known for having a HUGE network of terrorists, murderers, and arms smugglers at his disposal

- He aligns with notorious terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda and the Taliban

- Facilitated violence in sensitive areas like the DRC and Libya by supporting local terrorists and brutalists

Do y’all know how valuable he could be to Putin in his efforts against sovereignty in Eastern Europe?

That's disingenuous of you to say the least lol. It was a bad deal for America, focus on that rather than trying to portray Brittney having a vape pen as some sort of a drug cartel mule

Griner was also arrested before the invasion and therefore couldn't predict what was about to come

Yeah, he's a horrible monster. No doubt. But he was going to get out eventually - I think in seven years or so. So at least we could use him as leverage to free an American who had no business being in a Russian jail in the first place.

It's one of those situations that totally sucks. But it was the right thing to do, I believe.

I couldn’t care less about what she was taking in either, I’m a smoker, but I’m not gonna paint a pretty light on us fighting so hard to get her back and the fact she won’t face charges when everyday citizens are imprisoned everyday for less related to drugs. The pedestal sports players are put on in this country is DISGUSTING

And the invasion ≠ the overall state of the region, we knew for a loooong time that Putin was gearing up for something before he actually did it. It would be like saying someone didn’t take a risk by travelling to North Korea just because Kim Jong Un hasn’t made any big moves yet in terms of actual military moves

Another fact of the matter is that we should not be engaging with Putin and his government whatsoever, we do not negotiate with terrorists

Well, didn’t
