However, as I am not even posting millions of irrelevant selfies on my Instagram etc, maybe that is why I don't have that many followers, I mostly upload digital art on my social medias, and most people seem to not care as I am not doing what everyone else is doing, I hate to be lame, I prefer to be myself, and I do not owe a million photos of myself looking pretty and perfect to the world in order to have a platform on social medias. Also Twitter has enough of that NSFW stuff so not everyone has to believe they need to post n00ds there or something in order to get followers, even if it is more effective than being real to yourself and not exposing your private parts to strangers like that. It sounds like it's something you have to work on yourself. It's true that social media is a lot about appearance and people who are hot and post body/nude stuff will get more popular more quickly. If it bothers you to not have as many followers/likes than others, I suggest to step away from social media until you have a better relationship with yourself and better confidence. You can't change how social media works but you can work on the way it affects you. And hopefully you can come back and keep posting your digital art, and enjoy every like and feedback you get and not compare yourself. Social media needs more content like this.
