Weird question to ask for an album that just released. Impact of an album can truly be known few years down the line.

Where's the option for "what bar?" :trollga:

I personally think that it didn't do a thing, like it couldn't be less impressive or revolutionary if that's what we mean by raising the bar (not hating or trying to put the album in a negative matter; I just think it doesn't shift change nor impact, it feels normal)

Y'all haven't caught on to the OP's game yet?

They make threads to set people up to get dragged.

Haven't listened to the album cause all the songs I heard on tiktok sounded boring to me.

I'll continue to listen to 'I am... Sasha Fierce' cause THATS what I call an album!

It's so sad because now everybody has done and Gaga would be late to the party. But it's the genre I always wanted the most from her.

I feel like she just never got around to it but got close haha

i don't think "setting the bar" is about impact, per se

i understand it as, something that is so obviously good and superior upon arrival that immediatly sets the precedent for the stuff that comes after

i could be wrong tho, but that's how i understand it

It’s a good album but it doesn’t feel like it did anything at all. And I don’t mean that in a bad way. Albums don’t need to be industry shaking or whatever every time. The album is good on its own, I just don’t feel like it or the era changed/elevated/impacted anything lol to me, it came and went

Maybe in the Beyhive but overall the album fizzled away pretty quickly. And Renaissance doesn’t even have the Covid excuse like Chromatica did. Maybe the tour  will raise the bar next year.
