*Shade Free* Why did Gaga do the Pit?

Why does everyone think Gaga created the Monsterpit? Obviously, she did it to be closer to her superfans, but it has made the show about getting backstage or onstage, instead of enjoying Born This Way live. I know personally the pit has been really stressful, and many fans gave up their lives to be front row and get the key. Why did Gaga want to separate the fanbase?

Because she wants to put all the crazy people in a circle, distanced from the normal monsters :derpga:

Really though. I can't wait for the reactions when people arriving at 5:30 hear "Yeah we got here on Tuesday"

Are you camping out?

Are you camping out?

Just an example. My venue is having some issues with camping, so I doubt it (unfortunately).

Personally, I feel like its a fun way to mix up the show. Having the catwalk out into the audience like that offers a lot of versatility that she previously didn't have with the Monster Ball. Other artists (such as Madonna and her "Golden Triangle" have had success doing this with their fans.

I don't think she anticipated the Monster Pit getting out of control like it has (hence the new rules coming soon). I doubt she'll do it in the future after this chaos. :haha:

The GT was so organized, you just sent an email. I was the first at the venue at 5:30, its easy to be up close to Madonna.

She's not separating the fans. I hate when people put it that way. She is giving monsters who want to be close by her the opportunity to guarantee a spot up there if they go early

To be completely honest i don't think Gaga thought the key thing through. It's got more negative sides to it than positive. But anyway about the pit, Well thats a different story. The fans that queue all day/night get the best spot. Thats how it works in every concert with or without a pit area. Even with no pit it's still first come first served.

Honestly the drama started when live nation announced the 8am rule. If people want to camp out for days let them. It's their life not yours. don't judge them. If you don't want to camp or queue all day buy the GH package, It get's you a really good spot outside the pit and you don't have to queue for that long.

I'v experienced the ball from inside and outside the pit and i'm telling you the atmosphere is so much better in the pit. But one thing that really annoyed me was fans crying because they didn't get backstage. Im telling you if your going to the ball DO NOT expect to get back, There's no harm in trying to get her attention. If it happens it happens.

About the camping, I camped at nearly all my shows and it was really nice. I made so many friends that i now keep in touch with. The 8am rule doesn't matter since the only people that can disqualify you is gaga's team and they are lovely and won't disqualify anyone just for breaking that rule. Trust me!. No matter what time you get there please respect the people in front of you. At the london show i was in front of people that camped for a week, i felt so bad. But fortunately the girl that camped the longest did get the key... If you get there first you will get that key no matter what. But again i can't stress enough about how people need to respect their spot in line.

:kisses:

What shows did you go to though? Do you think it'll be more strict here in the US? I was considering camping but idk what to do since i'm going to the second chicago show. I don't care very much to be right at the barricade but I just hope to be relatively close to the front. I think I want to get there at 7:45 and as long as i'm in the first few rows, i'm good, i just don't want to end up in the back, or worse, outside the pit.
