Check out his awesome cover of Make It Rain and the collab he did with The Weeknd, Dark Times (still amazed that never became a single). But his style just doesn't lend itself to Bond anthems. The committee who's responsible for deciding the artist really needs to stop picking the most popular artist of the moment every time as of late. Some people's music just doesn't scream Bond theme and that's a major part in what has meant the recent songs haven't been as big. To me, it's so much better when it seems like the artist lives and breathes this style. Gaga and Lana are the most obvious choices but it's probably one of the rare cases where being American can actually lower your chances of getting this gig because it tends to favour British singers. The Weeknd would smash a Bond theme and even though she's not popular or well known, Laura Mvula could definitely do it.
