If sampling disqualified someone from a Grammy nomination or a win then the vast majority of pop songs released in any calendar year would be ineligible. If the song features original lyrics, then the sample is irrelevant to anything other than maybe a production specific category but even then the song isn't done over the same instrumental as Super Freak. 

That being said, I'd be shocked if it gets nominated at all and if it does, it sure as hell won't win because it's pure ****.

cant touch this by mc hammer also samples the same song and was nominated for multiple grammys and won some.

Let’s be real, they have always hated her and used her. Putting aside her problematic behaviour, she has always been done dirty by the industry, no wonder she is so hateful. THIS. its something i dont think most people understand. she literally had to sit back and watch iggy score multiple number ones, she witnessed her own community rally behind bodak yellow for the "culture" when that was never done for her even though shes done more for the culture than any of the girls that debuted after her have. she then had to go through seeing cardi, megan, doja, and lizzo all win grammy awards. like damn how much more can you get beat down before you become angry and upset. but then when she does speak her mind shes a "cry baby"

Funny how she always shades Starships and Pound The Alarm because they’re super pop and she had to do “damage control” because she’s a rapper and now another pop hit.
