We'll see how they like it In mean.. we have to be honest and recognize the West doesn't support countries in case of invasion most of the times. Russia invaded Moldova and Georgia and the West did nothing. Saudi Arabia is basically at war with Yemen and you don't even hear it on the news. Ukraine got a lot of attention because it is considered a near developed Nation, it's well known, it's in Europe next to well respected Countries, trades a lot with the EU and was attacked by Russia who has a lot of Western Haters So it got ppls and media attention right away and in turn also politicians But how many unlawful wars happen all the time? It happens so often all around the world Ppl often think we live in more peaceful times in modern times than in the past but I think that's only true in the last several decades in the developed world specifically. The globe as a whole is still a war zone or places not at war they are political hot zones just waiting to be triggered. Are the leaders of these countries gonna send some of their family members to the frontlines then? I would say troops, but I am certain the citizens of said countries do not support what their leaders say. Either way, they have shared their stance. In the developed world we miss half of what's going on all the time simply cuz it doesn't get talked about Ukraine got a lot of support for reasons I mentioned but very often it just doesn't happen I would say Ukraine was not very well-known before February this year (despite being the second biggest in Europe), also economically Ukraine was more integrated with the ex-Soviet space than Europe for a long time (even though after the fall of USSR Ukraine and basically the entire Eastern and Central Europe were economically incorporated by Germany). Also, China was a significant trading partner of Ukraine, yet China has been neutral or even lowkey supportive of Putin at times. Russia itself was an economic partner of Europe, Russia's biggest haters were Poland, the Baltics and the US, not necessarily Western Europe (if we don't take into account its distant memory of the Soviet threat from generations back). We have to be honest about this whole thing and recognize that the support given by the West is rightful, but was made possible because of geopolitical interests.
