In this case the BluRay is probably just an upscale of the original video which appears already low-res on the the DVD rips you uploaded on YouTube. Generally speaking, an upscale of this type increases the size of the video file from the standard 720x480 pixels (480p - DVD) to 1920x1080 pixels (1080p HD - BluRay). During this type of process some enhancement filtering might be applied to take advantage of the higher resolution. But basically, the upscale will only blow up the details (or lack of) present on the original video. Even though, in regard of today's technology, the ability to create the missing pixels with appropriate software exists, it remains a tedious and time consuming work only achievable on a beefy computer and generally applied to single images. Anyway I have no doubt that this particular achievement will be made with movies in a near future (at least we'll finally gotta write off the cost of the giant 4K flatscreen TV in the living room !) I also listened to the audio of the DVD rips and It sounds like the same soundtrack of the IEM CDs. Which seems like a no brainer since both DVDs and BluRays, like the audio CDS are Xavel products. Please @Juanlittlem, know that I'm in no way trying to run down the amazing and enthusiastic ripping and uploading job you did for us all. I am really grateful for it. If I may ask for some more of your time, I'll be much obliged to have a simple phone picture of one of the Xavel audio CD spine (that small vertical portion of the CD you see when it's shelved) in order to properly finish my cover/inlay re-creation for the community. I didnt buy the CDs with the audios, just the BluRays/DVDs. But I'd say they're the same.
