This week I have been playing on my spotify many playlist of 2000s and early 2010s dance hits and this makes me feel soooo nostalgic for some reason even when I see the music videos for this music, the fashion and atmosphere of those years feel so refreshing for the decadence we have on 2020s music, so, we know today many artist are putting out 80s and 90s inspired music and inmediately becomes a hit because many people feels nostalgic and new generations feel attracted by those years and retro style and sooner or later, the music of today and the one from a decade ago will be back in in a few years. Thinking about this makes me wonder what if a huge artists (like Gaga) puts out an album inspired by 2000s/Early 2010s EDM era in 2023? It's been almost 15 years now and personally I'm interested how it would be executed and the impact it would have on the current music scene. I also think this same for LG7 because we know Gaga likes to look back in music eras to get inspiration, what if Gaga is back to her literally roots from The Fame for the new album with the sound, mood and aesthetic of the era that saw her become famous? Idk maybe I just think too much, but is cute to remember and hear music from this amazing years, I'll put some examples of the particular sound I'm talking about:

I definitely think pop making it’s way back to the radio via funky 70s and 80s inspired tracks and house music is a sure fire sign that dance pop/ electro pop will have its day in the sun again as well. Pop music was very scarce on the radio and main charts at times in the last decade, with rap, indie, and balladry taking over the taking over the mainstream. I still think we’re on the cusp of a bigger scale rock revival on the “pop” charts aka the Hot 100 and mainstream top 40 radio, then we could see another sort of off-shoot genre come to the forefront or maybe rap will reign once again until another form of pop music sneaks its way in

Yes and no. I don't think it's as much of a "enough time" issue as it is her having more genres/sounds to explore. And honestly I don't know that she'd go back to that sound.

LG7 needs to be heavy metal with disco influences. Period

I know the entire fanbase are asking for a rock/disco album but I don't think she would release this because Rock and Disco are two genres on trend today and we know Gaga never follow trends, she imposes it :glamourpuss:

We can stream SOUR and Future Nostalgia then :lolly:

In terms of Gaga, I’m more interested still in what she can do in other genres. Chromatica was already a return to the dance genre via house and edm, so other than Joanne, we haven’t seen her venture out in the pop genre that much. I want to see her go full retro, funk, disco in a different way than the others have, in a way that few others than she could. Whether that means something a little “harder” or more rock-leaning, idk, but she would cook up something better than anything I can imagine. I want her to bend and merge genres again. Songs like MANiCURE, Perfect Illusion, John Wayne, Electric Chapel, Yoü and I, Teeth, etc.
