TwistedTeeth 2,167
Hi This morning, after I had a break down over writing 6 essays, I decided to treat myself by doing what I love most: scarring Bath and Body Works employees with my presence. I'm no stranger to this establishment, as I spend at least an hour going through their candle inventory and emptying out their hand sanitizer testers to relieve my stress from college. This is usually a once a month affair, so no employees were actually harmed! Anyway, once I was done and got up off the floor I decided to go home and go through my own accumulated stock. At the back of my bathroom cabinet I found a fragrance that I received for Christmas from my brothers fiancé. "You're the One" stared me down, like it had been plotting it's revenge for leaving it at the back, forgotten after it so confidently proclaimed that I WAS the one. I popped it open as an apology, promising that it will make a fine room freshener when I was too tired to mop, but much to my surprise I felt something familiar with it at first sniff. Quickly, I went to retrieve my FAME perfume and compared the two because I feel like there's something here! Here are my results: While FAME top notes are honey, apricot and incense that's fades into a intimate scent of belladonna and You're the One's top note is strawberry that fades into a sophisticated rose and birch scent. Now, these are very staggering differences in scents BUT when they're in the air I can't help but imagine two women of different aesthetics meeting at night for a glass of wine by dimly lit candles. After FAME had time to settle and the scent of incense and belladonna began to emerge you really get a sense that this is a Goth Woman, something you'd catch Elvira wearing. After You're the One settled you can start to smell the rose and birch say "hello", and form this sophisticated and sexy scent. Perfect for a night in the Fall. Conclusion: Their fruity top notes make these perfumes feel like they're perfect dupe of each other but as they fade you really get a sense of their personalities. Albeit, You're the One is stronger and will last longer on you through the evening. The few times I've worn FAME I notice it fades after 5 hours of wear. I think that's just the reality of mass market production versus a designer perfume, though. Or maybe the fumes have finally destroyed my brain Let me know what you think! CHOMP. You're SO lucky it lasts that long on you I really want Fame to stick to my body chemistry but it's just not happening without rubbing myself down in petroleum jelly or something first CHOMP. SevenWonder 4,256
I have zero interest in perfumes/colognes. I've never bought one bottle in my entire life. Just not my thing at all. That said, I do love good writing. And your review is clever, lively and very informative. Me thinks you might just have a future in writing perfume reviews. Clearly. (Assuming, of course, that's actually a thing.)

I enjoy writing a lot but I never have much of an outlet for fun pieces like this, so it was nice to apply it to something like this. If I could get the budget to do more reviews like this I'd be happy Your comment is very sweet, thank you!! CHOMP.
