I think that was honestly mostly due to Vulnicura and Utopia being so closely tied together. There was definitely some evolution over time of the aesthetic but I think the healing she needed from the divorce took a long ass time

this.

i started following her on vulnicura, my breakup was the same time at the release of the album so i always feelin that after vulnicura shes tellin her story about heelin and fossora maybe will be the end of this trilogy

kindest regards

I have tried so many times to get into Bjork but I sadly have never earnestly enjoyed the music. But she's such a creative person. I admire her and I'm happy for her fans.

Could be helpful to watch one of the documentaries she’s done on her stuff before! She’s done them for Homogenic, vespertine, Medúlla, Biophilia.

alternwtively, no pressure. I “tried” too and it didn’t click until one day I was like I’m gonna go for a walk and was like fine let’s try this one I like the name and it instantly made me a stan. She’s stunning to me now

Is anybody else listening to Sonic Symbolism? I just finished the first episode about Debut and I absolutely loved it, especially when she was talking about Kate Bush. My biggest idol talking about my second biggest idol, I gagged. I could listen to her and her Icelandic accent talking about her music and inspirations all day for the rest of my life.

I love it. She’s never been this casual talking about herself before and it really pulls down a bit of the veil of her as this eccentric fairy or whatever. I also love seeing the little nods to her growing and understanding about the world changing over time like mentioning queerness in music and how she kinda fits into that branch. Super cool. You can tell Arca has exposed her to a lot and she’s really taken it in and processed it. Not many artists 30 years into their SOLO career, nearly 40 years into their career can say they’re quite as open.

The hosts are amazing. It is great that they’re friends of hers for the sake of convo
