Why are people so willing to force him to admit his sexuality? Are these people aware that they are spreading stereotypes that harm the LGBTQ+ community by doing that?

Overall it's not that folks on here say he owes an explanation about his possible queerness.

Rather than using it for buzz when regular queer folks ( nearly all of them basically ) still suffer from it is cynical. Mainly since he may exploit it while not being queer with the struggles that comes with it, even if you're not out.

Queer or not, not screening these questions for interviews to endlessly say you won't tell is obviously a marketing plan since half the buzz he gets is about that if we're honest.

Same with the clothing. It's not that they seemed to see it as a queer thing or automatic queerbaiting. Rather that they know wearing androgynous clothes gets the same effect for him as an evasive answer about his sexuality, that's how gender clichés make things in our society... So since they know he's using the rumors, that comes across as an other part of the plan for them it seems.

But what’s wrong with discussing what we do with our private parts? We literally have pride parades celebrating how we use our private parts. It’s part of our identity. Could you imagine Gaga’s discography if you removed all mention of sex? Yeah it would be pretty limited, because it’s part of human nature. If his argument is about “privacy” it seems likely rooted in shame (ie, scared to talk about sex), which is a bummer. The role of an Artist is to expose truths & to comment on human issues.

If he’s avoiding answering the question because his sexuality is complicated and he doesn’t want to come out as bicurious for example, wouldn’t he (unfortunately) just say he’s straight and stay in the closet?

It’s also pretty hard to believe that he’s scared to “rock the boat” about what people think about his sexuality considering that he wore a dress on the cover of vogue. He’s rocked that boat many a time, and that’s why we’re concerned he’s queer baiting to begin with.

Here’s the issue, when you’re a pop star who puts his whole “persona” out in public, you have to deal with questions and speculations about your private life. He doesn’t owe anyone an answer, but you don’t get to live in this dreamland of “How dare thee think these things about me!” when you have a platform like him.

TLDR : He’s at least bi, or wants us to think so, but you’ll never hear him say it.

I've been debating whether or not I should say something about this, but sometimes we need to leave people be. Not everything has to have a label on it. If they want to dress a certain way, let them dress a certain way and go on about our lives. I do acknowledge and understand the issue with queerbaiting to get brownie points. At the end of the day, it's their decision, not ours. As long as it isn't damaging anyone, he doesn't owe anyone an explanation.
